What is the Sparkle Creed?

Question
What is the Sparkle Creed?
Answer
The Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creeds are well known among Christians. They represent a summary of the marvelous truths found within biblical Christianity.

However, the Sparkle Creed is an affirmation of transgenderism. While there is no official version of this creed ‘yet’, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) version reads as follows:

I believe in the non-binary God whose pronouns are plural. I believe in Jesus Christ, their child, who wore a fabulous tunic and had two dads and saw everyone as a sibling-child of God. I believe in the rainbow Spirit, who shatters our image of one white light and refracts it into a rainbow of gorgeous diversity. I believe in the church of everyday saints as numerous, creative and resilient as patches on the AIDS quilt, whose feet are grounded in mud and whose eyes gaze at the stars in wonder. I believe in the call to each of us that love is love is love, so beloved, let us love. I believe, glorious God. Help my unbelief.

This Creed disagrees not only with the Bible but with both the Apostle’s and Nicene Creeds. It claims God is non-binary. [1] It states that Jesus had "two dads" which denies the virgin birth (cf. Matt. 1:18; Luke 1:34-35). It identifies the Holy Spirit of God with LGBT (i.e. "rainbow"). It glorifies AIDS. [2] It misunderstands the character of God's love (1 John 4:7-21). [3]

The Sparkle Creed denies the historical affirmation of the Trinity. It affirms sinful behavior. This Creed has nothing to do with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but continues to promote the Devil’s agenda ("lies", John 10:10) as it has been since the Fall of Man in Genesis 3.

The Sparkle Creed is a confession of heresy and is blasphemous. It is the byproduct of apostasy (Jer. 8:5, 23:26; 1 Tim. 4:1; 2 Thess. 2:3) highlighting the fact that we are in the last days.

Footnotes

[1] Non-binary is a term people use to describe genders that don't fall into the two categories God made in the very beginning - male and female (Gen. 5:2). God doesn't have a gender because he is a spirit (John 4:24).

[2] The AIDS Memorial Quilt is a symbol for those who were lost through sinful conduct of LGBT . It’s a massive 54-ton tapestry that includes nearly 50,000 panels. On October 11, 1987, the Quilt was displayed for the first time on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., during the National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. National AIDS Memorial (https://www.aidsmemorial.org/quilt-history). Last accessed 28 June 2024.

[3] ] The proponents of LGBT accuse Christians of a lack of love when they comment negatively about LGBT issues. However, biblical love is not the acceptance of sins such as LGBT as that would be hatred as Hell is the end result of unrepentant sin …

Within each individual is a deep desire to put self at the center (Rom. 1:18-32). It is a desire to be our own god and do whatever we desire to do. Such acts are rebellion against God and his Word. The punishment for such acts is eternal death (Dan. 12:2; Matt. 25:46; Rev. 20:15). Therefore it is love to share what the true Gospel states about all sin. That is you MUST BE born again (John 3:7).
