What is Relativism?

Question
What is Relativism?
Answer
Relativism is a view that truth is relative and not absolute. It maintains that truth varies from person to person, time to time, and there are no absolutes.

Well, there are absolutes and there are things that are relative.

God exists. We exist. The universe exists. You are reading something that exists. These are absolutes.

A person who believes that red is a better color than blue may change their mind later on. So, there are things that are relative.

But if everything were relative, then it would need to be absolutely true that everything is relative. This would be self-refuting.

Relativism is a false philosophical belief, and relativism as a doctrine of God, his Word, etc., is a false concept.
