Did God create more couples than just Adam and Eve?

While God could have created as many people as he desired at the very beginning, in Acts 17:26 Luke writes, "And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place." Who is this "one man"? According to the Bible this "one man" is Adam (Gen 1:26-27; 2:4-8, 18, 21-22; 5:2; cf. Job 31:33; Hos 6:7; Matt 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9; Luke 3:23-38; Rom 5:12-21; 1 Cor 11:8; 15:21-22, 45-49; 1 Tim 2:12-14; Jude 1:14). All other people and nations descended from Adam and Eve.

This question is often asked because Bible students and others often ask, (1) whom did Cain marry? and (2) what is the origin of the races?

Whom did Cain marry?

The Book of Genesis was written by Moses to convince the Israelites to follow him into the Promised Land, not to inform us of every single fact about the beginning of creation. There are many things Moses left out of the creation historical narrative. For instance, Adam named many of the animals at the beginning (Gen 2:19-20). But what were the names he gave them? We don't find these listed in the Genesis account. Another fact Moses left out were the names of all Adam and Eve's daughters, one of whom Cain married (Gen 4:17).
