Dr. Brandon D. Crowe

Dr. Brandon D. Crowe is Assistant Professor of New Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary. Dr. Crowe’s academic interests include biblical theology, the Gospels (especially the Gospel of Matthew), the General Epistles, and the early church. His PhD thesis at Edinburgh is entitled “The Obedient Son: Deuteronomy and Christology in the Gospel of Matthew,” and was published as part of Walter de Gruyter’s BZNW series.
For those who are new to Dr. Crowe’s writing and teaching on his research interests, he recommends several resources as places to start. Consider listening to this interview discussing his work on Deuteronomy and Christology in the Gospel of Matthew. On the subject of the General Epistles, consider his book “The Message of the General Epistles in the History of Redemption: Wisdom from James, Peter, John, and Jude,” as well as his interview on the book. On the early church, consider his article, “Oh Sweet Exchange! The Soteriological Significance of the Incarnation in the Epistle to Diognetus.”
